FAQ About Pricing and Billing

Does it cost money to play a course?

Most courses in the app can be played for free. Communication charges required to use the app are the responsibility of the user.

Free play limits

Use of free courses is limited to 10 plays per day per event.

  • The daily play count resets every day at 6:00 AM Japan time
  • Courses with 2 spots or fewer and a time limit of 60 minutes or less are treated as trial courses and do not count toward the play limit

If you reach the free play limit

If you want to play free courses in the same event after reaching the daily limit, you can purchase additional play slots by in-app purchase. Added slots remain valid for 7 days from the purchase date.

What subscription plans are available?

NaviTabi has two paid plans.

Player Plan

This is the participant-side plan.

  • Export course maps as PDF for personal use
  • Unlimited access to play results, while free users can view only the last 30 days

Organizer Plan

This is the organizer-side plan. In addition to the Player Plan features, it includes:

  • Approval-based entry settings, including automatic approval by Event Number
  • PDF export of course maps for event distribution
  • Multiple event managers and event operators
  • Scheduled mass start
  • Always-on Live Tracking
  • Hiding other participant locations
  • Requiring Entry Number input
  • Displaying KML-based vector overlays
  • CSV import and export of spot data
  • CSV export of entry lists
  • CSV export of results and leaderboards
Pricing

Prices follow the current App Store on iOS or Google Play pricing on Android. Please check the latest price in the in-app subscription screen. Weekly, monthly, and yearly plans may be available.

How do I subscribe to a paid plan?

You can subscribe by in-app purchase from the Settings menu in the iOS or Android app.

I canceled but I was still charged

After you cancel, the subscription remains valid until the end of the current billing period. Auto-renewal stops after that.

For example, if you cancel a monthly plan in the middle of the month, you can still use the plan features until the end of that month. You will not be charged after the next renewal date.

How to cancel

Subscriptions are canceled from the store settings, not from inside the app.

On iOS

  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name or Apple ID
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select NaviTabi and cancel it

On Android

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions -> Subscriptions
  4. Select NaviTabi and cancel it
Cancellation stops auto-renewal

Even after cancellation, you can keep using the plan until the period you already paid for ends. Refund handling follows the store policy.

I want to restore my subscription after changing devices

If you changed devices within the same platform, such as iOS to iOS or Android to Android, you can restore the subscription.

Restore steps

  1. Install NaviTabi on the new device
  2. Log in with the same NaviTabi account
  3. Open the subscription screen
  4. Tap Restore Subscription
If restore does not work
  • On iOS, check that you are signed in with the same Apple ID
  • On Android, check that you are signed in with the same Google account
  • Expired subscriptions cannot be restored

Can subscriptions be shared between iOS and Android?

No. Subscriptions are not shared between iOS and Android.

Subscriptions are tied to the store account of the platform where you purchased them.

  • Purchased on iOS -> tied to Apple ID and valid only on iOS devices
  • Purchased on Android -> tied to Google account and valid only on Android devices

If you move from iOS to Android or vice versa, you need to purchase a new subscription on the new platform. Do not forget to cancel the subscription on the previous platform if necessary.

Upgrade and downgrade

Player Plan -> Organizer Plan

The upgrade is applied immediately. The unused portion of the Player Plan is handled according to the store policy.

Organizer Plan -> Player Plan

The downgrade is applied on the next renewal date. You can keep using Organizer Plan features until the end of the current billing period.

If I add an event manager, can that person also use Organizer Plan features?

No. The Organizer Plan is granted only to the subscribed user. If you add an event manager, that person can handle basic event operations such as editing the event and managing entries, but Organizer Plan-only functions such as CSV export and mass start settings remain available only to the subscribed user.

If multiple managers need Organizer Plan-only features, each person needs their own Organizer Plan.

How can I check my purchase history?

You can check it from Purchase History in the settings screen.
