Results and Route Review
This page explains how to check your results after play and review your route.
Check your results
When play ends, the results screen opens automatically. You can also return to it later from the event details screen or your activity history.
:::note If "Not synced yet" is shown While a record has not yet been sent to the server, a "Not synced yet" notice appears on the results screen. Keep the app open somewhere with a connection and the record is sent automatically; the notice disappears once syncing is complete. Even while not synced, the record is stored on your device and will not be lost. :::
:::note Free users can view records from the past 30 days only Viewing records older than that requires subscribing to the Player Plan. :::

Score breakdown on score courses
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Visit points | Points earned by visiting spots |
| Quiz points | Additional points earned for correct quiz answers |
| Bonus Points | Points earned by scanning a Bonus QR (shown only if earned) |
| Combo Bonus | Points earned from a specified combination of checkpoints (shown only if earned) |
| Penalty | Point deduction for exceeding the time limit |
| Location button penalty | A deduction based on how many times you used the locate button (when the organizer has set it) |
| Location button time penalty | A time penalty based on how many times you used the locate button (when the organizer has set it) |
| Adjustment | Manual score adjustment made by the organizer |
On events where the locate button has a usage limit or penalty, the number of times you used the locate button is also shown in the results. The usage count appears not only in the result details but also next to each participant in the ranking list, shown with an icon.
:::tip How bonus points are earned Bonus Points and Combo Bonus are bonus points added on score courses (each appears in the breakdown only when there are points for it). Tapping either row opens a breakdown. Bonus Points shows a list of the name, time earned, and points of each bonus you earned; Combo Bonus shows the "N / M CPs" and points earned for each rule you achieved (opened as a detail screen on iOS and a detail dialog on Android; you can open the breakdown on the results screen after play ends, not from the score breakdown during play).
If the organizer changes the rules after the event ends, the breakdown total may not match the score above; in that case, a note is shown in the breakdown (the score used for ranking is the one finalized at finish).
Scanning a Bonus QR does not appear in the "Visited spots" list or the lap data (only the points are added to "Bonus Points"). For how each is earned, see Bonus points (QR & combo). :::
:::note Bonuses in Team Play The team result does not show a Bonus Points (Bonus QR) row, because Bonus QR is for individual play only. Combo Bonus, on the other hand, is valid in team competitions and is reflected in the team's score and ranking. :::
:::note Courses subject to the deduction and the time penalty The deduction ("Location button penalty") does not occur on Fixed Order courses. The time penalty ("Location button time penalty") occurs on all courses, including Fixed Order courses. :::
Rankings
The event ranking lets you compare your result with other participants in the same category.
- Score courses: Higher score ranks first. If scores are tied, the shorter time ranks higher.
- Fixed Order courses: Shorter time ranks higher.
- The top three positions are shown in gold, silver, and bronze colors.
- In team competitions, rankings are also shown by team.
:::tip About Team Play results For Team Play specific details such as team start time, finish time, and DNF handling, see Team Play. :::
When multiple results use the same Entry Number
In standard play, multiple participants may sometimes enter the same Entry Number. In that case, only the highest-ranked record among them is reflected in the leaderboard.
- Scores and times are not combined
- This may be used as a backup record
- If you want combined scoring, use Team Play rather than standard play
Route display
On the map in the results screen, the route you traveled during play is shown.
- The path from start to finish is shown as a line color-coded by your speed
- Passing points for each spot are shown with markers
- Tracing the route helps you review your strategy
Lap data
You can view the arrival time and split time for each spot in a list.
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Spot name | The spot you visited |
| Arrival time | The time you reached the spot |
| Split time | Total elapsed time from the start |
| Photo | Photo taken with Camera Punch, if applicable |
Quiz results
On courses that include quizzes, you can check your answer result, the correct answer, and the explanation for each spot.
GPX download
The location log from your play can be downloaded as a GPX file. GPX download is done from the activity detail page on NaviTabi Web (there is no export feature in the app). GPX files can be used with other apps such as Google Earth or Strava to display and analyze your route.
Likes and comments
You can leave likes and comments on results. You can also send a like to another participant's result.
Viewing photos
Photos taken with Camera Punch can be viewed together from the results screen. You can swipe through photos spot by spot.
:::note Other participants' results may not be visible On events where the organizer has enabled "Hide result details and photos" to protect privacy, the following applies.
- You can still view your own results and the photos you took, just as before.
- You may not be able to view other participants' result details (route, lap data, and photos). When you tap another participant in a list or ranking, you won't advance to the detail screen; instead, the message "Due to the organizer's settings, other participants' result details can't be shown." is displayed.
Note that rankings (standings) are not affected by this setting and are shown as before. Only the result "details" and "photos" are hidden. :::
